Welcome back to Showdown! This time, we're pitting two unique sounds against each other: the old-soul flavor of the Gold Label 710e and the contemporary vibes of the Next Generation 814ce. The Gold Label 710e is a classic square-shoulder Dreadnought featuring Indian rosewood back and sides with a torrefied Sitka spruce top, and sports a deeper body that combines with fanned V-Class bracing to produce a rich, warm voice with exceptional power. The Next Generation 814ce is the latest take on Taylor's flagship model, a Grand Auditorium also featuring Indian rosewood back and sides with a Sitka spruce top. We've enhanced this model's signature versatility and balance with scalloped V-Class bracing, which improves low-end presence and warmth while adding more volume, sustain and open-string resonance.
