Flying to Canada today for the penultimate round of the @uci_mtbworldseries series reminds me of the BC local kid @jacksongoldstone who turned his season around by winning his second consecutive rainbow jersey less than a month ago in Italy. From Aperols poolside at the beginning of the week to Aperol and Prosecco showers in the pits at the end lots to celebrate for @santacruzsyndicate Looking forward to the first ever World Cup in Whistler and hoping/expecting the racing and atmosphere will match or top those we’ve seen lately in Europe! #longlivechainsaw

The Blur Details Matter Adding features instead of removing them. • There’s a propensity in XC Bike design to make the frame as absolutely light as possible. It’s often the first metric that reviewers throw out as the defining characteristic. This also means that to achieve the lightest weight, most manufacturers will remove every feature that they deem expendable. And that includes all the features that make a bike usable (and enjoyable) for the 95% of your riding done outside of the race tape. The tagline for our new Blur model is, “For Race Days and Weekdays” which puts an emphasis on usability. It’s right at home sprinting for the hole shot, but it’s also a lightweight and immensely capable short-travel trail bike for the days between the races, with added features that include: - Our Glovebox™️ in-frame storage. Yes, this adds frame weight. But it’s absolutely worth it. If you go out for training days or endurance style races, you’ll need a place to put your tools, spares, nutrition, even a packable rain jacket. And strapping all that to your body for a couple of hours is the worst. Plus all this stuff is stored down at the bottom of the frame for a low center of gravity. - 2 full-size water bottle mounts - You typically need to carry a decent amount of water and strapping it to your back is less than optimal. - Full-length, tube-in-tube cable chunnels for a silent ride, and easiest of maintenance. - This is less for ride quality, and more for quality of life. If you have a mechanic, he will thank you. If your’e your own mechanic, you’ll thank us. - Top tube accessory mount - The Glovebox stores the majority of your goods, but this mount is for instant access to a mini-tool, tire plug, CO2 canister when time is of the essence. - Integrated chain guide - A little extra security goes a long way when the race course gets rough. - The last features I’ll mention are some you can’t see - It’s built tough enough for a lifetime of riding on rowdy courses and rough trails, uses our legendary frame pivot hardware and bearings, and carries our Lifetime Warranty for long-term peace of mind.
