We don’t usually post on weekends…but today is Small Business Saturday, and this one’s close to our hearts. Kim, who manages Global Pet Foods on Dupont Street in Toronto, the little neighborhood pet store down the street from our old office, was one of the very first people to believe in Open Farm’s mission 11 years ago. So today, we went undercover to surprise her—not just to say thank you, but to celebrate everything she represents. Because Kim is more than a store manager. She’s a reminder of the thousands of small businesses that make a community feel like home—the ones who listen, who guide, who cheer on new pet parents, and who show up day after day with love and care that often goes unseen. Here’s to the Kims everywhere 💚🐾 Thank you for enriching our lives, and the lives of our pets, in ways big and small.
