Instagram@zachbitter knows exactly how much sodium he loses per liter of sweat: 614 mg. Your sweat rate might be close to Zach’s... or it could be radically different. One study of 157 marathoners found more than a 13-fold difference in sweat sodium between the lowest and highest sweaters. Some lost only 500 mg per liter. Others lost over 1,600 mg. (PMID: 27478425) That range is huge and exactly why a fixed number doesn't work for everyone (in almost any context). You don't necessarily need a lab test to figure out if you're a salty sweater — there will be signs: 🧂 White salt stains on your clothes or gear 👅 A salty taste on your skin after a sweat session 😖 Stinging eyes when sweat runs into them 🦵 Cramping that shows up late in long or hot efforts Try different electrolyte-to-water ratios on your next few long runs and pay attention to how you feel. You feel the difference when you get it right. Stay Salty ⚡

i used to think hitting a wall mid run meant I just wasn’t fit enough yet. so i’d push harder… and still feel the same drop off. what i didn’t realize was how much electrolytes (especially sodium) play a role when you’re sweating a lot. for the past couple of years i’ve been using LMNT daily (been loving the lemonade salt flavor lately), usually before longer runs or after tougher efforts. it’s a zero-sugar drink mix with electrolytes, and for me it has helped make my runs feel a lot more consistent. if you’ve experienced that same kind of mid run crash, it might be worth paying attention to. #ad #drinkLMNT #StaySalty @drinklmnt

Early mornings, dad duties, client check-ins, workouts, content, business calls… then doing it all again the next day. 💪🏾⚡️ As a dad and business owner, I’ve learned real quick that if I don’t take care of my body first thing in the morning, I feel it the rest of the day. Hydration has become a non-negotiable part of my routine. Before the coffee, before the workout, before the chaos starts — I make sure I’m hydrated so I can perform at my best for my family, my business, and myself. Especially training in this Florida heat, adding @drinklmnt to my mornings has honestly helped me stay energized, locked in, and ready to attack the day. 🧂🔥 Being fit as a dad isn’t just about aesthetics anymore… it’s about having the energy to show up every single day. #drinklmnt #staysalty #FitDad #DadLife

okay can we talk about the fact that i genuinely didn’t know i was walking around dehydrated until i started using @drinklmnt a few years ago 🥲 like i drink water all day and still felt off, foggy, low energy, the works turns out it’s not just water you need, it’s the electrolytes (hi sodium, magnesium, potassium 👋). once i started drinking lmnt in the mornings and before workouts the difference was actually crazy. more energy, no afternoon slump, and my workouts hit different in this hawaii heat ☀️ zero sugar, no weird artificial stuff, just the good stuff your body actually needs. citrus salt is my fav rn but watermelon is a close second 🍉 if you’ve been chugging water and still feel like something’s missing, this is your sign ✨ #LMNT #DrinkLMNT #ElectrolyteDrink #HealthyHydration #HydrationStation

My glow up is not just about how I look. It's about how I feel every single day. This is one of the smallest changes I've made to my morning routine and I am not going back. @drinklmnt in my water every morning — Raspberry Salt is my flavor — zero sugar, just necessary electrolytes. If you've been looking for something to add to your routine, this is mine. 🔗 link in bio. #drinkLMNT #ad #glowupjourney #selfcareroutine #staysalty

Nominate an Industrial Athlete and we'll send them free LMNT. Link in bio. Rope access technician @geminiropes spends his workday hundreds of feet up, inspecting bridges, wind turbines, and skyscrapers. At those heights, he faces plenty of dangers he can’t control. One hazard he can control? Dehydration. Long, hot shifts are sweaty. Fluid and sodium can be lost faster than they’re replaced. When levels drop, alertness and judgment can slip, too. Staying hydrated (and the LMNT Give A Salt program) helps Industrial Athletes like @geminiropes stay sharp — so they can stay safe. Nominations are due by 11:59 pm ET on August 10. Stay Salty ⚡️

Our co-founder @dasrobbwolf created this NorCal Margarita Mocktail for the moments that call for a cocktail ritual — without the sugar or the booze. Between bjj training, keeping up with his kids, and managing his own autoimmune condition, he’s got high standards for what goes in his glass. If you do too, you’ll need: 🧂 1 stick pack LMNT Citrus Salt 💧 16–32 oz soda water 🍋 2 tablespoons lime juice 🧊 handful of ice Stir or shake to mix well. Serve over ice. Stay Salty ⚡

Some people quit the moment no one’s watching. American 100-mile record holder @zbitter doesn't. He ran 75,000 miles before he broke the record. Achieving anything great means showing up daily, repetitively, unglamorously. Here's Zach's formula to success: ⚡ Show up on the days you want to. ⚡ Show up on the days you don't. ⚡ Refuse to quit when nobody's watching.

The internet is drowning in misinformation masked as health advice. Watch our 12-minute short film and you’ll walk away knowing more about toxicology and heavy metals than 99% of your friends. Many publishers, brands, and creators start with a genuine desire to help you navigate the already confusing health landscape — but then end up falling into the fabricated fear-for-profit game. It gets the clicks....but reach and rigor are different skills, and the algorithm only rewards one of them. You’ve probably seen content that tells you: The food you eat is toxic! The products you buy are poisoning you! You're someone looking out for your health — not someone to get conned over clickbait. And anyone trying to make reasonable health decisions deserves credible information that helps them decipher what’s worthy of their time and concern… and what’s not. Introducing: Toxicology in Context — a content series to help you understand these issues (starting with heavy metals, with more editions to come). There's no one path to health — make your own (informed) call. Topics include: ⚡ Why "heavy metals detected" in food and drinks doesn't automatically mean danger — and the difference between detection and actual risk ⚡ What "parts per billion" means ⚡ How the FDA and EPA set safety limits ⚡ What a Prop 65 warning means ⚡ Why your body doesn't absorb every heavy metal you consume — and what affects how much gets absorbed Want to learn more? If you’re outside working or working out, you’ve probably heard this countless times: Make sure you drink more water. The thing is, water alone doesn’t cut it when it comes to healthy hydration. When you sweat, you lose sodium. It’s an essential mineral, and you might need more of it than you think. If you don’t get salt in your diet — which you don’t when you eat whole foods — you may notice these signs of sodium deficiency. And chugging plain water can make them worse. You might need more sodium, not less. If you’re getting headaches, brain fog, or cramps, it might be time to salt your food or reach for an electrolyte drink like LMNT. Notice how it affects your mood, energy, and performance. You’ll feel the difference when you get it right ⚡ Tap the link in bio to learn more about symptoms of sodium deficiency, and what to do about it.

Summer with the kids out of school can be a juggling act for parents. Routines go out the window when every day is a different camp, activity, sleepover, or sporting event. Add in work responsibilities and household chores, and your own needs can fall right off the to-do list. LMNT partner @bewellbykelly sees it a different way: Taking care of herself is the biggest gift she can give to her family. Making the effort to stay hydrated means she has steady, sustained energy to show up as her best self for the people who need her most, no matter what kind of chaos the day brings. Stay Salty ⚡

If you're sweating, you need to be salting. Even elite athletes can miss this connection. American 100-mile record holder and host of the Human Performance Outliers podcast @zachbitter learned the hard way: chugging plain water to catch up on hydration isn't enough. Drinking plain water ➡️ greater urine output ➡️ less water retained. With less blood volume, your heart has to beat faster to deliver the same amount of oxygen, and that blood gets split between feeding your working muscles and cooling your skin. Once you lose ~2% of your body weight in sweat, that cost shows up on the clock (PMID: 17277604) and how you feel during and after your race. The fix is pretty simple: add sodium. Drinking fluids that contain sodium helps your body retain more of the fluid you drink. In one study, sodium-containing drinks restored 174% of the fluid people lost, compared with just 78% when they drank plain water. (PMID: 3403476) Stay Salty ⚡
