Photography Without Borders is a Philadelphia-based nonprofit teaching young artists to document their world through photography. Their annual photo review book brings that work together, showcasing photographs and stories from youth across seven programs, from younger students picking up a camera for the first time to high school students pairing their images with writing coached this year by poet Ursula Rucker. This year's cover belongs to Jazmine "Jazzy" Silva Sanchez, a student of the organization since 7th grade, who traveled to Mexico at 20 and documented her trip in a stunning photo series. One image, taken at a Three Kings Day celebration, made it to the front cover of this year's edition. "Going back to Mexico really helped me gain an understanding of the culture, the traditions, and the role my culture plays in my life and why. I feel more self-assured, I feel more confident, I feel more 'me' than I did before." Discover the printed work by Photography Without Borders' emerging artists in the Blurb Bookstore (link in bio).
