Context

For a premium brand like Herschel Supply, price is part of the product. When a retailer sells a Herschel bag below its Minimum Advertised Price, it's not just a margin issue. It signals to the market that the product is worth less than it is. Do that enough times across enough channels, and the brand starts to erode.

The challenge is that MAP violations don't announce themselves. They happen quietly, on third-party seller pages, across dozens of wholesale partners, every day. Finding them manually meant someone on the team had to go looking, cycling through partner websites, checking product listings, documenting discrepancies, and following up. It was slow, incomplete, and impossible to scale. By the time a violation was caught, it had often been live for days.

The result: unauthorized discounting went unchecked, pricing integrity slipped, and revenue leakage added up in ways the team couldn't fully see.

The approach

Herschel deployed ShopVision to do what a manual process never could: monitor every wholesale partner's product pages, every day, without anyone having to ask.

Using Time Machine's daily screenshot infrastructure, ShopVision captured a visual record of each partner's listings on a continuous basis. From there, Custom Reports were configured to automatically scan those captures, extract pricing data, and flag any product listed below its established MAP, pinpointing the exact violation, on the exact page, with a timestamp.

Instead of a team member running searches and hoping they caught everything, the violations came to them. Specific, documented, and ready to act on.
