InstagramMeet your Barber- 5 facts about me. AJ - Queen Creek V’s. Elite Team Member 1- I was raised in the barbershop from a young age. I saw the impact that the barbershop had on the community, the importance of talent, kindness, and consistency. My dad has been a barber for 30 years and he taught me so much. It wasn’t a question for me. I knew one day I would be a barber too. 2- I’ve been cutting hair for 8 years with forever to go. I have a saying when I greet customers. Every day is a good day at the barbershop. It’s a second home for me. The clients and fellow barbers are dear to me. It’s my love for people that motivates me every single day. 3- I have a special place in my heart for clients who are sensory and neurodivergent, especially kids. As the oldest of 5, I saw what parents went through daily to care for us. It warms my heart to see the joy on a mom’s face when their little boy has a professional haircut in a welcoming environment. These families deserve the same treatment, as any other family. At times, maybe more care and patience. I don’t just tolerate them; I look forward to caring for them. 4- When I’m not at the shop, I love spending time with my lovely wife, Rasheika. She refreshes me in a way that helps me to continue to be the best barber for my community. We love playing games, snowboarding/skiing, and spending time with family and friends. Our favorite thing is talking. I personally love cars and collecting bourbon. 5- Working at Vs has given me the opportunity to grow as a person. The Vs Brand draws people to the barbershop. It’s our duty as barbers to keep them coming back. I do what I can to be what my clients need when they need it. I’m there to encourage, listen, talk and be an example. I share positive stories and experiences and my clients feel free to do the same. It’s a privilege to be a part of the community in this special way.
