DOG-FRIENDLY MAMMOTH ADVENTURE! 🚠 If you’re planning a trip to Mammoth Mountain in California with your dog(s) outside of ski season, we highly recommend adding a scenic gondola ride to your itinerary! Here are a few things to know: • Dogs ride FREE! 2026/27 Ikon Pass holders can ride the Scenic Gondola FREE. Tickets for everyone else can be purchased at the ticket window or online ahead of time, and prices vary. • Dogs are welcome on the gondola as long as they’re leashed and well behaved. We never adventure without our @ruffwear Front Range leashes, which have a traffic handle at the clip for quick restraint when we need it most. • The scenic ride takes about 10–15 minutes from Main Lodge to the 11,053-foot summit. • You can stop at the mid-station to stretch your legs, explore, and take in the views before continuing to the summit. • Dog access is seasonal. Dogs are only allowed on the gondola during summer and shoulder-season operations (save this post for your 2027 summer adventures if you can’t make it this year!). They’re prohibited when the gondola is running for special events, so always plan ahead. Dogs are also not allowed on the gondola during winter ski operations. One thing to keep in mind: temperatures and weather can change quickly at elevation. We brought along our @Ruffwear Timberline Fuse vests to keep the pups cozy. Donkeys, desert heat, and sniffing the flowers 🐾 🌸 AHS Trail Hero Brianna and her pup Summit recently hit the Two Trees Trail in Riverside, CA, where they shared the trail with a herd of wild donkeys! Brianna’s reminder for hiking with your dog: “Know your dog and hike at their pace. If they need one break—or several—take them. If your dog wants to stop and sniff the flowers, let them. There is nothing we love more than seeing humans and dogs outdoors, especially when it’s to support an amazing cause.
