Invitation to Create Enchanted Fairy Play Dough Landscapes// Creating tiny fairy worlds where imagination takes center stage is pure magic. This enchanting small world invitation encouraged children to become storytellers, architects, & explorers as they designed whimsical fairy landscapes filled with hidden treasures, magical creatures, & endless possibilities. To create this invitation, we provided play dough sprinkled with @colorationsart glitter for an extra touch of sparkle and whimsy. Children used the shimmering dough to sculpt winding paths, enchanted forests, fairy homes, & magical hideaways. The tuff tray was filled with an assortment of open-ended materials including @yellow_door_education Scenery Fairy Tale Stones, Little Lands Fantasy Figures, Little Lands Enchanted World pieces, acrylic gems, fresh flowers, fairy figurines, mushrooms, butterflies, & other natural loose parts. Rustic Bowls & Rustic Pourers displayed the magical treasures, inviting children to create their own enchanted fairy scenes. As children pinched, rolled, flattened, & molded the play dough, they strengthened fine motor muscles, hand-eye coordination, & the finger dexterity. Designing their landscapes also encouraged spatial awareness, planning, creativity, & problem-solving as they thoughtfully decided where to place each pathway, cottage, tree, & magical creature. Perhaps the richest learning came through storytelling. Every fairy village held its own unique adventure. Some children created peaceful fairy gardens, while others built enchanted forests filled with hidden treasures, magical creatures, and secret pathways waiting to be explored. As they narrated their stories, they naturally strengthened expressive language, expanded their vocabulary, practiced sequencing, & to bring their imaginative worlds to life. With sparkling play dough, magical loose parts, & limitless imagination, children aren’t simply playing, they’re creating stories, solving problems, developing essential skills, & discovering that the most magical worlds are the ones they build themselves. #tinkerwonderplay #playdoughfun #tufftrayplay #tufftrayideas #smallworldplay

Summer always goes by too fast... so we decided to paint our memories instead. ☀️🎨 I rolled out a long sheet of butcher paper, from @discountschoolsupply , wrote SUMMER across it, and let the kids fill it with all of their favorite memories. Popsicles, bike rides, swimming, ice cream, lemonade stands, fireworks, camping—you name it! There were no rules, just lots of creativity and talking about everything we’ve done this summer. Math can be so overwhelming for children, I know first hand for myself growing up. We’ve been working on our math skills in a fun way this summer with these pretty Tickit acrylic blocks to help count and visualize quantities for addition. The Magnatiles Micro Mags have also been a great tool to use to help keep the kids engaged. They’ve even enjoyed creating their own math equations with the tiles!
