The Short Sleeve Workshirt has now become a familiar silhouette in our brand lineup. Inspired by vintage service shirts, it's relaxed and shorter in the body and is really easy to wear. For this season, we developed a grid plaid pattern that is woven into the fabric texturally on a dobby loom. If you're interested in hearing more about dobby looms, our lead designer Wesley chatted about them in a Reel a few months back. The color is what we really like about this shirt; we called it ink as it's a faded black with slight deep blue undertones. At long last, our mules have been restocked in store and online. Natural and Black Calf Leather mules return, and this summer we are excited to add a Black Pony to the lineup for the first time. Note the smooth leather binding for a clean finish - it's functional but also gives a nice bit of visual detailing. All three remain on our cork midsole topped with a suede footbed and finished with Vibram mini ripple soles.

Staff Looks. "Summers in New York are rough. It's hot, humid, and just plain gross. I'd love to wear jeans but after one commute they look like I did an ocean soak. For me, summer means shorts, and over the last few years our training shorts have become a staple. They're lightweight, comfortable, and don't look like typical activewear. Clothing for life is an ethos that after 20+ years, we are still trying to grow into. Ever since we fell in love with the way raw denim breaks in, ages and journeys with its wearer over the years, we’ve sought to apply that sample principle to every garment, shoe and accessory that we design. What we make needs to stand the test of time from both a construction and design relevance perspective. It’s been 10 months since our last restock of the Square Toe Side Zip Boot and many of you have been waiting patiently for its return. Photographed here is a worn-in boot from the initial launch in 2024 next to a brand new one. They were worn by our technical designer Romeo 3-4 times a week for the past 2.5 years and have still not needed a resole (maybe next year). With its cork insert and goodyear welt construction, these boots are comfortable, easy to break in and fully recraftable. These are boots that are built to be worn, and worn often. Square Toe Side Zips in Black Calf and Mushroom Suede are now available on 3sixteen.com and in our LA flagship.

3sixteen and Blue Owl present the Natural Dye Pack: A 9-piece over-dyed collaboration starring 3sixteen’s famous jeans and t-shirts. Launching at Blue Owl this Friday.⁠ ⁠ This all-new project is built around 3sixteen’s signature Kibata Series Denim. Milled in Okayama, Japan, the Kibata Series is 3sixteen’s 14oz slub selvedge denim, woven slowly at a low-tension to create a more textured appearance.⁠ ⁠ Each jean is cut and sewn in California, rinsed to remove shrinkage, and then shipped to Seattle where it is hand-dyed at a local dye house in three custom-developed colors: red, brown, and lavender. Each dye is derived from natural ingredients like logwood and madder root, and binds to the Kibata fabric in its own way – making every pair of jeans completely unique.⁠ ⁠ The jeans are presented in 3sixteen’s two most popular straight-leg fits: the Relaxed Straight (RS) and Classic Straight (CS), and are joined by matching runs of 3sixteen’s popular Heavyweight T-Shirt in the same dyes.⁠ ⁠ Woven in Japan, cut and sewn in California, and overdyed in Seattle. As part of our handloomed summer capsule, we are excited to feature a new Commuter Shirt in a beautiful deep navy microcheck. We typically run our Commuter Shirts in lightweight striped poplins to match the look and feel of the updated office shirt that it's designed after, but for this release we tried something new and gave the body something that is equally lightweight and flowy but with some more texture. It's important to note that when we say handloomed, we refer to fabric being woven by a single artisan on a wooden manual loom without the use of electricity. This fabric is referred to as "khadi" and represents any fabric loomed by hand in India; heavily promoted by Mahatma Gandhi as a means for self-sufficiency from British rule, khadi cloth is a point of national pride and is painstakingly made. The hand loomed method provides a unique hand and finish that is unmatched; if you have yet to experience one, this shirt is a great place to start. Jack wears the Commuter Shirt here with our Linen Pleated Trouser and Saddle Loafer.

This summer, we continue to feature new releases that feature loose weaves and breathable hands to provide functional wear in the rising temperatures. Something unique about this week's releases, all of which are handloomed in India, are the trompe l'œil effects that they feature. Pictured above is our Short Sleeve Workshirt in what we are calling a "wabash" stripe. The shirt itself is a comfortable, flowy short sleeve style with a roomy chest and slightly longer sleeves that can be worn down or rolled. The pattern and texture is where it really shines. Traditionally, wabash stripes were found on classic American (and reproduction Japanese) workwear garments. The stripes were bleach printed onto indigo or black cotton fabric to form a pinstripe effect that could help mask dirt and grime. We call this shirt a "wabash" stripe because the stripes are actually woven into the fabric instead of printed; at first glance, it gives the same effect but there's a textural differences that gives the fabric beautiful depth. Staff Looks. "I was inspired by Jacques, one of my co-workers here at 3s, with this fit. He likes to mix our active line with our seasonal line together and I feel like it always makes for an interesting look. On top, I’m rocking our 
Big Oxford in Navy, a new colorway for this season. The Oxford has become one of my go-to silhouettes; on any given day there’s a good chance I’m probably wearing one. On the bottom is a new style from us, our nylon track pant, in a black and gray colorway. I feel like everyone internally was really hyped on this one.
