ShopVision is a well-funded, AI-native startup founded by ecommerce veterans who’ve built and scaled companies across the industry. We’re already working with incredible brands and building the next category-defining company at the intersection of AI and commerce intelligence.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Director of Marketing who’s a little bit of a prompt-engineer, a little bit of a growth hacker, and a lot obsessed with how AI can build brand, creativity, and distribution at scale.

You’ll build and lead the marketing function, define our brand voice, craft our category leadership narrative around Market and Competitive Intelligence, and build the top-of-funnel engine that fills the pipeline with qualified Stage 2 (SQL) opportunities for our mid-market and enterprise sales team.

This is a rare opportunity to shape how a breakout AI company shows up in the market, from insight-led storytelling across social platforms to top-tier conference activations.

We’re not looking for a marketer who uses AI, we’re looking for one who thinks in AI.

What You’ll Own

1. Growth and Demand Generation

  • Design, execute, and scale high-performing demand engines that consistently fill the funnel with qualified Stage 2 (SQL) opportunities.
  • Build and run multi-channel programs across content, email, paid, partnerships, and conferences.
  • Develop and optimize inbound and outbound motions that generate awareness, engagement, and discovery across our ICP segments.
  • Establish attribution and reporting frameworks that clearly connect marketing performance to pipeline and revenue outcomes.

2. Paid Ads and Media

  • Develop and own ShopVision’s paid media strategy across LinkedIn, Google, and emerging channels relevant to ecommerce and marketing leaders.
  • Build and manage paid campaigns that drive measurable top-of-funnel awareness and SQL creation.
  • Continuously test and refine audience segmentation, creative, and messaging to maximize ROI.
  • Partner with design and data teams to develop high-performing ad assets and reporting dashboards.
  • Explore opportunities for paid partnerships, sponsorships, and targeted industry media placements.

3. Messaging and Positioning

  • Nail our message to the Market and Competitive Intelligence category and to our ideal customer profiles.
  • Develop a clear and confident narrative that positions ShopVision as the first truly operational MCI platform.

4. Content and Thought Leadership

  • Launch a data-driven thought leadership program that turns our proprietary insights into market-defining storytelling.
  • Build and distribute competitive digests, reports, and insights-led content that earns attention and builds trust.
  • Showcase our customers and the innovation they represent in the new era of commerce intelligence.

5. Brand and Communications

  • Own the ShopVision brand identity and voice across all touchpoints.
  • Develop exceptional creative assets, case studies, and campaign materials that stand out in the category.
  • Manage PR, analyst, and media relationships to drive credibility and reach.

6. Conferences and Events

  • Plan and execute high-impact conference strategies that generate leads, deepen relationships, and elevate ShopVision’s market position.
  • Manage speaking opportunities, sponsorships, and event content to maximize ROI and storytelling value.

7. Community, Social, and Influencer Marketing

  • Build social programs that bring value to ecommerce leaders where they already are, including LinkedIn, X, and niche communities.
  • Develop influencer, creator, and partnership strategies that amplify our story and create network effects.
  • Implement and scale customer advocacy and referral programs.

8. AI-Driven Marketing Operations

  • Use AI to scale execution across content creation, distribution, and analytics.
  • Continuously test emerging AI tools to push creative and operational boundaries.

Who You Are

  • 6–10 years of experience leading or building marketing functions in SaaS, ecommerce tech, or AI.
  • Proven track record of transforming marketing into a top-quartile growth driver.
  • Strong mix of strategic vision and executional grit.
  • Deep empathy for brand-side marketers and ecommerce leaders.
  • Excited by early-stage velocity, ambiguity, and the opportunity to define a category.
  • Excellent storyteller, builder, and operator who loves creative experimentation and measurable outcomes.
  • Obsessed with how AI agents can run campaigns, synthesize insights, and generate content across channels.
  • Remote for the right candidate, though preference for those in Vancouver or Toronto.
